While there is still no set date to the much-anticipated opening on Cooper Avenue on South Beach at the famous Frank Gehry New World Center, we do have some more insight to keep us salivating thanks to a sneak peek from IamJohnnyBoy. After a recent tasting at Bardot to sample some of what’s to come, Cooper Avenue on the beach is set to open sometime in September, with a second location in Downtown Miami at Met One, but no word on the opening for that location. The eatery will be 7,000 square feet of foodie paradise, featuring an open-air restaurant, gourmet market, sushi and seafood counter, bakery, and bar/lounge (think NYC’s Dean & Deluca but with a restaurant and bar area). Housed in glass, the spot is just as visually appealing to the eye as it is to the stomach. With a casual atmosphere and serving modern American cuisine, Copper Avenue is sure to bring what Miami’s food scene is missing.
